WHITE HALL – First Exchange Bank is making a splash and donating $3,000 to the Mannington Hough Park Pool Project.
“First Exchange Bank is dedicated to making a difference in communities we serve,” stated Jenifer Barbe, Branch Manager of the First Exchange Bank office in Mannington. “We have supported the Mannington City Pool in the past donating appliances to replace those that were destroyed during the flooding of July 2017, and we are proud support them now.”
The City of Mannington is raising $1,000,000 for a matching funds grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund to renovate the Mannington City Pool at Hough Park. Planned renovations include updates to concession stand, bathhouse, pumphouse, filtration equipment, central shaded seating, and a complete overhaul of the pool itself with a new wade-in entrance and three-unit splash pad.
“With the deadline to donate quickly approaching we wanted take the plunge to help them get one step closer to the goal. As a locally owned, and operated bank, First Exchange Bank aims to participate in community initiatives while serving the communities of Marion, Monongalia, and Wetzel Counties,” said Bill Goettel, President and CEO of First Exchange Bank.
